Service and Creativity: Visiting Kids and Bringing Toys to a Merendeiro

Before we got there, we organized who was going to be doing what with the kids. I mostly listened, but helped a bit and ended up with the age group 6-7 (I had preferred 8-10 but this was my second choice). The 6-7 year olds was my group with a 7th grader who is my mom's friend's son. We played sharks and minnows, which was my idea. I also told them how to say some things in Portuguese and English. I had a good time, but it would have been nicer if I had done my CAS hours earlier because I did this kind of late and last minute. We gave out soccer balls to the kids. After, we hung out for a while and talked a bit to some older kids who had been helping out (in Spanish).
